The objective of the extended reach drilling course is to provide sufficient knowledge to experienced drilling personnel to allow them to balance the risks related to planning and executing a challenging high angle, horizontal, extended reach or complex wells. Importantly, the key risk factors and mitigation measures for stuck pipe avoidance from a well design, planning and operational execution perspective are covered in depth.<\/p>\n

High Pressure, High Temperature (HPHT)<\/h2>\n

The objective of the HPHT course is to provide drilling engineering personnel with the knowledge required to understand the design requirements of an HPHT well and how this is reflected in the equipment required to safely and efficiently drill, complete and test the well. Each day of the training focusses on a different area, with day 1 setting the scene as to why HPHT wells are required and the physical behavior of the system, day 2 develops key well design criteria, day 3 focusses on rig and equipment, day 4 on well operations and day 5 specifically on testing and completion engineering and operational activity.<\/p>\n
