Whilst supporting a client in Colombia, we were introduced to Puerto Cayumba, a small kids football team from Puerto Wilches who were desperately in need of equipment. We got to work straight away, tackling the problem head-on – working with the team to design a unique football strip, locally produced that reflected the team’s values and children’s personalities. They are pictured here, proudly sporting their new strip and judging by their reaction it’s clear to see we were really on the ball with the design. Apparently we totally knocked it out of the park (or the Spanish version of that)!
Merlin has also kick-started an initiative to collect second-hand football boots from local Perth youth teams. There will be a few drop off points around the Perth and Crieff area (more info on this later). With any luck, there will be a budding Carlos Valderrama or Lady Andrade in the Puerto Cayumba team who’s sporting ambitions will be boosted with the new kit.
