A Decade of Contribution
A decade can bring plenty of change, and Iain Miller has been part of much of it at Merlin. Now the seventh Merlin employee to reach the 10-year milestone, the team marked the occasion with a celebratory lunch, where CEO Neil Armstrong presented Iain with an engraved quaich. He’ll also receive extra holiday for 2027, a well-earned reward that will provide more free time to enjoy his passion for travelling the world.
A Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years of industry experience, Iain is responsible for Merlin’s finance and administration activities, with a particular focus on implementing effective contracts with clients across diverse international markets. He also regularly hosts Merlin’s daily 2pm team meeting, bringing together colleagues in Perth and those joining on Teams from around the world.

Beyond the Numbers
Iain joined Merlin two years prior to a major milestone in the company’s history: becoming employee owned in 2018. He has therefore been closely involved in a substantial part of Merlin’s development as an employee owned business and remains an integral part of its leadership team today.
Away from work, Iain is a keen golfer and long-standing member of Dunning Golf Club, where he also helps manage the club’s accounts and memberships. He plays regularly in club and Perth and District competitions, enjoying the competitive side of the game as much as the social one.
Iain lives in Perthshire with his wife, Claire. Their son and daughter are now grown up, completed their studies, and are beginning careers of their own whilst finding some time to travel the world. Plenty for Iain and Claire to be proud of. Given Iain’s background, we can tell he’s taught them a thing or two about saving and spending wisely along the way!
