Committed to the Employees

Employee ownership is one of the UK’s fastest-growing business models with the latest national figures indicating that 1 in 20 private company sales are to Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs), and this rate is on the rise.  Merlin has operated as a majority employee-owned business since 2017, and this year the business achieved a major milestone: Merlin became 100% employee-owned. This transition marks a profound commitment to the Merlin employees, as all shares in the company are now owned by the team either directly, or indirectly via the ownership trust. 

What better way to drive alignment and the motivation to deliver exceptional products and services than to be invested and therefore a direct beneficiary of business success. The EOT is overseen by a Board of Trustees, comprising of an Employee Trustee, two Selected Trustees and an Independent Trustee. The Board of Trustees plays a vital role in ensuring that the company is run transparently and responsibly.
